Boo enjoying her some of her new squeaker toys.

As we’re coming to find out, sushi toys aren’t just for dogs — cats and humans love them just as much if not more.  Send us pictures of your pet (or of yourself) enjoying their favourite sushi!  We love our four legged friends.  Hi to Luther, Pierre, Bruno, Boo, Cal, and Sprocket.  =)

CATCH OF THE WEEK: Matcha — oh how we missed thee! Always happy to have Matcha as our special flavour. =)

IS IT SUMMER YET?

LEGOS LEGOS LEGOS.

J. sent us this link to Ochre Jelly’s Miyazakitopia project, a Lego tribute to Miyazaki.  My Neighbour Totoro is one of our favourite movies of all time and Legos are one of our favourite toys of all time, so we were extremely excited to see our friends, O Totoro, Chuu Totoro, Chibi Totoro, Mei, and Satsuki created out of Legos.  The completed diorama will be on display at BrickCon 2010 this October, as part of the “Big In Japan” collaborative themed display.

Speaking of Legos, how clever is this? Muji teamed up with Lego to add an innovative and fun way to play with our childhood classic toys.  It’s right up our alley, combining our love of papercraft + our extensive Lego collection + our adoration of all things Muji.  Our punch is on its way, and we can’t wait to make a bunch of fun creatures to decorate the shop.  =)

CATCH OF THE WEEK: Almond Toffee — yummy in your (+ our) tummies.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM SWEET BREAMS.

Caretta Shiodome is lit up under the theme of “Blue Ocean.” The light display is on each night from 5 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. through Jan 11.  Photo Courtesy of Japan Today.

The light display shown above is very near where we tend to stay when we visit Tokyo.  Oh, how we wish we could be there in person to enjoy it.  Very jealous of M., R., S., + little R.!

CATCH OF THE WEEK: Choco-Peppermint – white chocolate peppermint custard in our uber yum choco batter.  Lots of positive feedback we’re hearing about this one, so make sure to try to stop by this week!  Love the holiday season flavours.  =)

IMPORTANT: **We will close at 8P on December 24th, and will be closed on December 25th.**

I HAVE JUST MET YOU, AND I LOVE YOU.

Sprocket

Sprocket

Dug!

Individual squeaker toy (bone maki, uni, tuna, handroll, tamago, inside out roll): $7.  2 piece combo set: $14.  4 piece combo set (comes with a pair of rawhide chopsticks!): $26.

As you can see, the Sushi Pups squeaker toys we got in this week have been approved by BOTH Sprocket + Dug!  Unsurprisingly, we’re technically probably more amused by the squeaker toys than the dogs are.  =)  Super fun + super kawaii = awesome holiday gift.  All the toys can be viewed online through our new webstore.  We’re also really excited to say that we’ve made new friends in Michelle + Jenn, creators of Sushi Pups, who participated in Henri Bendel’s Dog Days of Summer for the second time this past summer.
