SWEET BREAMS

We went to our first sumo tournament last month while in Tokyo, and it is truly one of our fondest memories from our 2009 trip.  The above picture was taken at the end of the Baruto v. Asashoryu match on opening day of the Autumn sumo tournament.  Click here to watch the entire match (begins around the 3:06 mark).

We’re also looking forward to the UFC 104 fight (Machida v. Shogun) tomorrow night!

CATCH OF THE WEEK: Choco-Raspberry = our ever so popular choco batter + raspberries. Proceeds from Choco-Raspberry will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help raise breast cancer awareness.

All kinds of new fun stuff is appearing at Sweet Breams this week!  Not only do we have a new “smarter” wall, we also have new ‘T is for Taiyaki” stickers and awesome chalk dots we’re playing and decorating with.  Plus, we just got in a bunch of super cool items from our friends at Fred.  Our personal favourite?  The Space Invader Ice Trays ($7.50), of course!

In other happenings, we are excited to say that we have gone through 2,000 Breamie bags in our first year!!!  The original blue + white design may some day become a collector’s item.  =)  We’re super excited to get our new Breamie bags in this week (hopefully on Friday)!  We’re only going to have 500 available, so make sure to get yours.  =)

More details soon, but we’re eager to let you know that our 3rd art exhibition, curated by Sweet Breams’ resident artist, Cat Oshiro, will begin 19 September.  We will have an opening reception that evening from 8P to 10P.  Its theme is Monsters! Monsters! Monsters! and will run until the end of October.

We’re really happy to hear how many of you are looking forward to our next art show.  It makes us feel warm + fuzzy to know that you enjoy the art we display.  =)
