The uber nice folks over at Sunset Magazine were super sweet to contact us about our upcoming art exhibit and blog about it today on their Sunset Traveler site.

Hello Fellow Breamies,

Tiny and Tasty would like to remind you that we will have a large number of Breamies this coming Saturday evening (18 April) for our art reception. We will still serve taiyaki, but please expect there to be a longer wait time. We’re excited to see you and get your feedback!

Also, please pardon our dust over the next few weeks as Sweet Breams itself and our website are undergoing a bit of construction, so expect to see lots of changes!

MEET ME UNDER THE CHERRY BLOSSOMS RECEPTION:

Sweet Breams’ first group art exhibition, Meet Me Under the Cherry Blossoms, celebrates the beauty of sakura and of spring time through digital illustrations, paintings, and drawings. Our three resident artists and eleven of their friends have produced new works spanning genres such as “urban lifestyle,” “psychedelic acrylics” and “displaced typography” specifically for this show.

An opening reception is being held Saturday, 18 April, 2009 from 8-10pm at Sweet Breams. Artists Cat Oshiro, CatmAndru!, ghost ghost teeth, Jeramie Tolentino, Michael Cooper, Mr. 80, and spareorgan will be in attendance. Light refreshments (including animal + gold fish crackers) will be served. A digital illustration by CatmAndru! will be raffled off.

CATCH OF THE WEEK:

For a special friend of Tiny and Tasty (actually, quite a few of you have mentioned that you would like to see this Catch of the Week come back, which we’re glad to know), we have Peanut Butter + Banana this week!

NEW MERCH:

We have Studio Ghibli (O Totoro!), Hello Kitty, and other super kawaii merchandise for sale in store! Our signature Breamie tees are also now $15 or 2/$24.
